  • It's a great day to be a Jaguar!

 

 

  • The graduation ceremony for the class of 2019 will be held at the Landers Center on May 21, 2019 at 7:00 pm. 
  • The 2018-2019 DC Roar yearbook is currently on sale.  Yearbooks will be sold for $65 and prices will increase in November.  Please visit www.balfour.com to order your yearbook.
  • All students should have a handbook, and you are responsible for the information in the handbook.   And, you should have it with you during the school day.
  • Students can't park in the front parking lot without a parking decal.  Any student that drives to school can purchase a decal.  If you want to park in the front, you need to purchase a decal from Ms. White at the front desk.
  • Chick fil A biscuits will be on sale in the Commons.  Each biscuit is 4.00.
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes would like to invite all students to join them on Friday mornings at 7:50 in room E10.
  • The student council is sponsoring the HomeRun for Habitat 5K this year.  DCHS is competing against all the other high schools in the country to see who can raise the most funds for the Habitat for Humanity.  The race is at Snowden Grove Park on Sunday, October 21st at 3:00.  The cost is $25 to run/walk the 5K.  Once registered, you will receive a HomeRun for Habitat t-shirt, racing bib, and a timing chip.  See Ms. Nichols in A38.
  • The roster for this year's boys and girls bowling team is posted outside Coach Wall's office in D01.  Please see Coach Walls if you are on the list to get an athletic packet before your first practice on Wednesday, October 17.
  • Herf Jones representative will be back Thursday, November 29 during lunch to take the Senior invitation and cap and gown orders.  Please bring your $80 deposit at this time. 
  • CEO is having a free ACT workshop on Sunday October 21st, here at DCHS from 2:00-4:00pm.  Please register by Friday, for more registration information please see Mrs. Birks, Mrs. Lawrence, or Ms. Ware.
  • The workshop for the musical HAIRSPRAY will be immediately after school on Wednesday, October 31 until 5:30pm in the PAC.  Auditions for HAIRSPRAY will be November 1st and 2nd also in the PAC after school.  Packets for the audition can be found in the Choir Room and should be completed and brought to audition.
  • Robotics will be at MSU this weekend.
  • Speech and Debate will be competing in Ridgeland.
  • Swim team will be competing in North Half at Cleveland.
  • Cross Country will be at Olive Branch in the County Championships. 
  • Our Volleyball team plays at home Thursday against Northwest Rankin at 5:30pm in the 1st round of the playoffs. 
  • Our band will be competing at the University of Memphis this weekend. 
  • The Football bame has been moved to Thursday at home against Tupelo.  The Tupelo game will be our annual "Pink Out Game".  We encourage all fans to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
