CLASS OF THE WEEK!
Mrs. Oakley's 2nd grade
It is hard to believe how fast this year has gone by. Mrs. Oakley’s class ended the school year with a lot of fun and excitement.
We had our last field trip to Memphis Botanic Gardens, where we learned about plants from around the world. We made different crafts, explored the beauty and wonder of plants by walking through the gardens, listened to traditions, and even tried drinks from around the world such as Asian tea and lemonade with Indian spices.
We celebrated the end of the year with an ice cream party. The students were able to create their own sundae with a variety of yummy toppings.
Last Friday, we celebrated the end of the year with Award’s Day and the color run. The color run was so much fun! Kids ran laps around the school while getting color splashed on them. We cooled off with popsicles and water.
