Thank you for your interest in DeSoto County Schools! The Human Resources Departments deal with matters involving employees, such as employment actions, hiring, recommendations and licensure.  The department also handles internship placement requests and bank credit hour scholarship applications.  A valid Mississippi teaching license is required for employment in DeSoto County Schools.  The DeSoto County School District offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits.  Full medical insurance is provided and dependent coverage is available to each employee at a minimal cost.  Additional benefits include ongoing professional development workshops for teachers, new teacher orientation and a mentoring program for educators who are new to our district.

OUR MISSION:

The Human Resources Department provides leadership for the Desoto County School District to establish, implement and improve human resource management policies and practices in public education. Our goal is to provide personal, confidential, timely, and effective service to all employees in the area of Human Resources.  

The Department keeps all employees abreast of information and opportunities necessary for them to make good sound choices.  We are here for the employees and administration of our district.  In addition, human resource management services are provided for:
